Nemawashi: Small incremental improvements, that make your daily experiences better in whatever “Ecosystem”, you have to interact with.

The other factor is TIME. This is where the paradox comes in.

So, if China were at all worried, like Hippomenes, that India would overtake them in this “race” that they are not worried about, then they will like Hippomenes toss some thorny crab apples* to distract the nattering classes in India.
And the plummeting birth rate in China and the aversion to marriage in China and even sex, among the young is increasing exponentially, seems to point to that.
